Building Knowledge about Wisconsin’s Cover Crops: A farmer-research data collection project

Farmer participation is a key element of the CCROP project. Data citizen science farmer provide about their cover cropping practices and results are helping us improve cover crop recommendations for Wisconsin.
Participating farmers respond to an online survey about their practices, take photos of growth, and allow us to collect biomass samples at the end of the growing season. We share data with our participants, as well as our research findings, and also incorporate feedback in research and outreach programming. Want to join in?
