Dan Cornelius, Technical Assistance Specialist for the Intertribal Agriculture Council and UW-Madison graduate, will present a comprehensive overview of American Indian agriculture. Beginning with an outline sketching the history of tribal agriculture over
the past several hundred years, Mr. Cornelius will discuss its current state, including several of his organization’s innovative projects. He will then lay out a vision for future opportunities and challenges.
This event is part of the Culture of Agriculture series of events exploring the significance of food and agriculture in our lives. Culture of Agriculture events will be held on the UW-Madison campus throughout 2012 and 2013. This presentation is free and open to the public.
