OGRAIN Field Day: Organic Grain Toolbox
This event takes place at Doudlah Farms DBA FarmRite Organics, a 1,450 acre diversified organic grain operation producing corn, soybeans, ancient grains, cover crop seed (Aroostook Rye, Purple Bounty Vetch, 4010 Forage Peas), dry beans, and canning crops. We’ll spend the morning hearing from presenters and the afternoon touring the farm and hearing from even more experts. If you’re interested in covering a vast array of topics that will help prepare you for transition to organic, positively impact your current organic operation, or get you started as you begin to farm, this is the field day for you.
This is the third of four field days hosted by OGRAIN, the Organic Grain Resources And Information Network at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The field day series is made possible by a grant from the USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program. OGRAIN is a collaborative effort of the UW-Madison Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems, the Farm and Industry Short Course, the UW-Madison Organic and Sustainable Cropping Systems lab and MOSES.
Pre-registration is required. Visit the MOSES website for more information.
