Fertility Strategies for Organic Vegetables: Rock County, WI
Join fellow farmers and University specialists at Tipi Produce for an in-depth look at Steve Pincus and Beth Kazmar’s soil fertility management strategies and practices. They will discuss their use of cover crops, rotations, tillage, and purchased inputs. Steve will highlight their use of onsite nitrogen production in the form of alfalfa mulch. Tipi grows over 40 acres of certified organic vegetables for CSA and wholesale customers. University staff will be on hand to discuss the results of a survey of organic growers and their fertility management and to help answer questions.
