Urban Agriculture in St. Louis

Join Karen “Mimo” Davis and Miranda Duschack, Lincoln University Cooperative Extension, for an inspiring look at urban agriculture projects in St. Louis and their efforts to provide technical and educational services to urban producers. Of the 30 or so projects they assist, most are ½ acre in size, although one urban farm is 14 contiguous acres. The majority of the farms grow vegetables, fruit, and floral crops using organic and space-intensive growing methods. While all farms are production focused, their organizational structures vary from for-profit LLCs to non-profits, school projects and a collective.
