6th Annual Perennial Farm Gathering
If you’re interested in perennial crops and pastured livestock, come to the Savanna Institute’s Perennial Farm Gathering to learn what farmers, scientists, and others are discovering—both what’s working well and what needs more work.
Greg Judy of Green Pastures Farms will a give a keynote presentation. Greg is the author of No Risk Ranching and Comeback Farms, and a frequent collaborator with the Center for Agroforestry at the University of Missouri. He’ll be speaking about silvopasture, mob grazing, and the business principles of improving the ecological health of owned and leased land (over 1,200 acres) by profitably raising cattle, sheep, horses, goats, pigs, chickens and mushrooms.
Several breakout sessions are planned, including useful topics for aspiring farmers, seasoned producers, or wherever you fit in the food chain. Great food, fun music, a beautiful venue, and most of all an inspiring community promise to make this a special occasion.
