Ride to Farm 2016
Ride to Farm is a bicycle ride to raise awareness and funds for the Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy and Livestock Farmers (WSBDF) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This year’s 100K (~62 mile) ride begins and ends at New Glarus Woods State Park. Registration is from 7:40 to 8:30am. Our ride speaker, Dan Smith, DATCP Agricultural Development Administrator, will send us off at 8:30am.
The ride includes two rest and refreshment stops at grazing dairy farms: Dan Truttmann’s dairy just west of New Glarus and Bert Paris’s dairy east of town. Lunch is on your own in New Glarus. Riders who prefer a shorter distance can join us for a half-day (~30 miles) in the morning or afternoon.
